Hi, there! I'm Rob, my pronouns are he/him, and I've been writing software since about 1999, when I wrote my first Perl script for the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. That little script got me hooked on programming, and I've been coding in various languages and frameworks ever since.Along the way, I found the love of my life, and we've raised a wonderful son who's about to head off to college in a few short months. We've also had a steady stream of cats come and go over the years, and currently have two.When I'm not writing code, you can find me listening to music and occasionally playing instruments. My walls are adorned with various guitars and banjos, all of which I can play with varying degrees of mediocrity. I am a dedicated fan of old-time folk, blues, and country music (pre-1950), and Cajun music from any era.
